Mondeuse 1er Cru

A complex wine, robust, with character and a strong personality, reinforced by ageing in oak barrels. Melted tannins and aromas of prune, cherry, truffle and peppery notes. Deep, dark and purple colour. Accompanies local dishes, sausages, cheese platters, hunting in autumn, broaching or grilling in summer… A supple and ample structure, with already well-melted tannins. A long persistence that ends with spicy hints. Cold pre-fermentation maceration followed by a traditional vatting. Aged for 18 months in oak barrels. Originally from Savoie, Mondeuse is very well adapted to our terroir. This grape variety is very rich in polyphenols which is a powerful antioxidant. Low vine in Guyot. Clay and silty soil, moraine, grassy soil, slight slope.
